Overview: For a decade, the egomaniacal super-villain known as Bomb Queen has ruled the city, made the laws and bent the people to her blood lust and sexual perversion. However, despite years of death, destruction and moral decay, the people of New Port City prefer Bomb Queen’s methods. All hell breaks loose when a hero comes to town and turns Bomb Queen’s world upside down. This hero has to die – or Bomb Queen will loose her rule!

- While just browsing around I happened upon this title and it peaked my interest. A comic about a villain with no heroes to go against? What is that all about? Of course the Bomb Queen and her fabulous thong are quite prominent as well, perhaps that assisted in my purchasing decision.
The tale is an odd one. One not quite dissimilar to what our major capitalist societies are experiencing. It looks like society is bored. Bored with everything and their lives that reality television is the norm. Everyone tries to follow the antics of complete strangers, they even like a villain, the Bomb Queen essentially running the city because, heck, the alternative would probably be boring.
Obviously the writer is making a social commentary with this issue, and most likely with this entire run. It will be interesting to see if he can refrain from being preachy and full the story with some good stuff.
As for the Bomb Queen, like I said, the thong is nice but I’m not a big fan of the artwork in this.
