Overview: Blood Treasure is an action adventure about vampire pirates ravaging the Caribbean in 1672. In Issue #1 we meet Captain Devlin du Morray, an experienced sailor and brutal pirate. Arriving port in the Kingdom of Dahomey (Benin,) West Africa, he meets Alice, a practicing witch who leads him to a treasure he was promised after completing a mysterious job. She takes him through a wooded path to a secluded stone crypt. Inside is a coffin where the treasure, a red jeweled necklace hangs around the neck of a Romanian woman who appears to be dead, or asleep. Suddenly, she springs to life with fangs attacking Devlin. Sinking her teeth into Devlin’s neck, he slams her body onto a wooden stake tearing her heart apart killing her. As he passes out with his transformation into a vampire, Alice, a master in the dark arts is compelled to guide him through his new journey.
