Overview: When a man is hanged over the track during the Brazilian Grand Prix, nobody would believe it is the first in a series of events that leads the famous social media influencer, Johnny Angeles, into the worst moments of his life.
Marc Webster is ex-military, now a bodyguard to the rich and famous, and works for Angeles. Overcoming a personal tragedy, his days are dark and noxious, his nights awash with bad dreams. And then one day he meets Naomi, Angeles’ daughter, and her brightness pulls him out of his life-threatening slump.
But Angeles has unknowingly started dealing with a Serbian crime lord who will stop at nothing to become immersed in Hollywood’s celebrity world, using Angeles’ influence to gain him access. When Angeles finally refuses to go any further, the crime lord abducts Naomi and sells her to the slavetrade, threatening worse if Angeles doesn’t cooperate.
It’s up to Webster to trawl the globe in search of Naomi, try to rescue her, and get retribution against the crime lord for all the vile and terrible things he sees during his nightmare journey through the seedy underbelly of the global slavetrade.
