Overview: The Blood of the Immortals, Cadmus and Harmonia, is in jeopardy of being taken by the vampire clans and their allies. Meant as a symbol of their connection to the ancient land of Illyria, the Blood Crystals contain samples of the blood of the original Elders and could lead to the fulfillment of a centuries-old vendetta the vampires seek to bring upon the other immortals. The werewolves, aware of the plot that has begun to unfold, have decided to meet and plan their next move. Unbeknownst to the were-clans, the United States government has also begun an involvement with some immortals that could lead to war between humans and the various types of immortals.
Lykaon Graff, an immortal of mixed blood, must try to rally the human-friendly immortals before the vampire plot takes full effect. As the guardian of one of the Blood Crystals, he reaches out to a human female, Dr. Grace Jennings, who is also a professor of anthropology at the University of Colorado. It is a race against time in order to save the world of both humans and immortals from a perilous end at the hands of the vampires, goblins, and harpies.
