Betrayal, Malt Whisky & A Toilet Brush by Ira Phillips
Requirements: .ePUB reader, 330 KB
Overview: Fuelled by Scotland’s finest malt whisky and the kindness of strangers, Jen must start again after she loses her long-term partner of thirteen years, her home of ten years and her income.
A struggling optimist, she finds ways to survive and ignore the open window, three flights up, which offers an easy escape. These involve the use of a hot chilli pepper, a toilet brush, some hot Grecian sunshine and the offer of a supposedly ‘self-esteem boosting’ opportunity of posing naked as an Artist’s model.
Glimpses of hope are found in bizarre opportunities. Having not been single since the last decade, is Jen equipped for dating? Should she text back straight away or wait until the morning? She would never have had sex on a first date before, but have things changed?
Perhaps being single is easier, safer and preferable – Jen hasn’t decided yet and she isn’t at all sure she can trust enough for a fulfilling relationship.
“Can anyone ever know the person, lying beside them in bed?”
