Overview: Gilbert Betters is not the Chosen One. He doesn’t know magic. He’s never been on an epic adventure or participated in a heroic quest. He is, in a few words, just some kid from Nebraska.

All the while, he must confront questions of his own reality and decide just how much he’s willing to sacrifice to find a home again.
