Overview: This nine part miniseries series written by Greg Rucka and illustrated by industry veteran Klaus Janson should be a big event in its own right, but thanks to a number of events in the DCU that have been touted by the DC marketing machine as "big", Death and the Maidens has escaped the notice of many Batman fans and comic readers in general. That’s a real shame because the story being told within is not only filled with ramifications for Batman and his most cunning villain, Ra’s al Ghul, but it’s also one of the best Batman stories I’ve read, far outstripping the likes of the much trumped up "Hush".
