Seven years have passed since Barton Villa was nearly destroyed by the ruthless Agent Troughton. Seven good years.
Life for the islanders has changed, but not too much. The Town Fathers dream up ever more crazy rules for the islanders to live by. But that’s alright. There is a feeling of happiness among the people of Barton Villa. Hope for the future. Even a sense of rebirth.
Moncrief Jones has wed the woman of his dreams and they have two young daughters, while he has become a successful artist instead of a forger.
Samantha Watson has made a new life for herself as an author in Fiji. She has restored her shattered reputation and found a home. And the leatherback turtles have started hatching and running to the ocean every season. Life is good. And best of all, no one talks about aliens!
But then, just as it seems that a wonderful future lies ahead of them, astronauts on the moon discover alien tyre tracks and the world is thrown into chaos. Welcome back to Barton Villa. Another four years have passed on the craziest island in the world and life on Barton Villa has been good. No one’s attacked the island. No one’s bombed it. And there hasn’t been a single claim of aliens enjoying its tropical beaches!
Even the turtles are happy as they’ve finally started returning to the island to lay their eggs. But life on the island is never as straight forwards as it seems, and now it’s not flying saucers flying overhead that has caught the attention of the CIA. It’s the fountain of youth hidden somewhere within its embrace. People are growing younger.
Immortality! Barton Villa has it. Everyone wants it. And of course there are those in power who will stop at nothing to get it. So once more Sam and Moncrief will have to use all their wits to defend the island and their families. But now their enemies have grown smarter, and worse – they’re making mistakes!
