Overview: Pascal stared at the door for a few moments, wondering if the man was going to come back out again, before turning and returning to heading down the hall, going at a steady clip, although he was keeping his ears open for any more sharp sounds from the floor above him.
Why was everyone being so cryptic? So far, he’d gotten so many strange and unnatural responses from the denizens of the hotel. Either people were acting cryptic or they were saying very cryptic words that didn’t make a whole lot of sense without context, and he, for the life of him, couldn’t make heads or tails of what these people were saying. First they were being vague about the location of the manager, and then there was one sentence of Ingram’s that was still bothering him. He watched the numbers as they counted upwards, looking down at his key to make sure he was still going the right way, and eventually found the place he was looking for. Room 212. So he had made it without running into anyone unnatural or strange in the hallways. That was a good thing, and it made Pascal breathe a fair bit easier as he slotted the key into the lock, turning it and opening the door gently, looking inside.
