Overview: The Promise is the trilogy of comics set in the Avatar universe as a continuation of the Avatar: The Last Airbender storyline. Written by award winning comic author Gene Yang, the trilogy will be released by Dark Horse Comics in collaboration with Nickelodeon in 2012. Mainly set one year after the conclusion of the original series, The Promise Trilogy will detail the adventures of Avatar Aang and his friends soon after the War, and will provide a link to the spin-off series The Legend of Korra.
