Overview: Tempted to take his own life, Luke Lindor has led a tragic one at best; no friends, no family support, and he remains chronically depressed, but how will he act when he gets to college and meets the man of his dreams? Never having a close relationship before, Luke must become socialized on his own. Troubles regarding his sexuality and his feelings for Martin cause Luke to fall into a deep depression with Martin being the only hope for his survival. Later diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, Luke faces many internal battles and swings from, “I love you, Martin,” to, “I hate you, you despicable asshole.” This story touches on heavy topics that plague society today including suicide, mental illness, relationships, sex, rape, and the criminal justice system which just adds to the burdens in Luke’s life.
