Apocalypsis 1.0: Signs
Rome, May 2011. After the shocking abdication and disappearance of Pope John Paul III, close confidants of the Pope are being murdered.
Peter Adam, a German journalist, and his American colleague, Loretta, begin to investigate the case.
Their only lead is a book about mystical symbols predicting an unsettling event which is to take place in ten days time.

Apocalypsis 1.01: Demons
While the Papal Secretary of State, Cardinal Menendez, already campaigns for the coming conclave, Peter Adam is still searching for the missing Pope. Hoping for support from Don Luigi, the Vatican’s chief exorcist, Peter makes the acquaintance of the young nun Maria. Signs are manifested pointing to the fourth prophecy of Fatimá. A trail leads to an old monastery in Sicily.
Apocalypsis 1.02: Ancient
While the man called Nikolas continues his violent murder spree, Maria comes to Peter’s rescue in Sicily. New clues found by Don Luigi require Peter and Maria to break into the sealed papal apartment. There they find a mysterious relic, which is later stolen by Peter’s colleague, Loretta. When Peter goes to confront Loretta in her hotel, he is met by a shocking sight.
Apocalypsis 1.03: Thoth
Peter is interrogated by the Italian Police and tortured by secret service agents. Without any recollection of what happened during the previous few hours, he begins to doubt himself. After his escape, he saves Maria from an attempt on her life by Nikolas. They both know that they are in mortal danger, and there is only one way left for Peter to prove his innocence.
Apocalypsis 1.04: Baphomet
Aided by Don Luigi and the Saudi Arabian ambassador, Peter and Maria arrive at Clairvaux where they search for the full text of the prophecy of St. Malachy. Meanwhile in Rome, a young chemist is murdered after conducting a series of tests on the relic from the papal apartment. Apocalypsis 1.05: Island of the Light

Meanwhile in Rome, Urs Bühler, captain of the Swiss Guards, comes across a shadowy syndicate and the name of Aleister Crowley.
Apocalypsis 1.06: Elixir
One year ago: While working on a magazine article about excavations in the Karakorum desert, Peter and his girlfriend Ellen meet Edward Kelly, a shady self-made archaeologist who boasts of having made a sensational discovery. At the same time, archaeologists in Rome find an ancient crypt with mysterious writings and symbols, and Pope John Paul III has a revelation.

Urs Bühler makes a horrible discovery on the forbidden plague island in the lagoon of Venice. On the so-called "Island of the Light" in the Mediterranean, Peter Adam is kept prisoner in a psychiatric institution. While in Rome preparations are being made for the conclave, Peter Adam, still imprisoned on this Island of the Light, learns more about the murder spree and the Pope’s disappearance. Edward Kelly offers his help in escaping from the island but demands a terrible price. Maria’s insight into human nature is put to a hard test.

Apocalypsis 1.09: Wearily Electors
Cardinal Menendez wants to be Pope, at any prize. A man by the name of Aleister Crowley makes him a tempting offer. Peter has an eye-opening encounter with Nikolas. Accompanied by Maria, he takes a flight to Cologne to solve the mystery of his heritage. After meeting with his foster parents, Peter receives a phone call from the mysterious Seth.
Apocalypsis 1.10: The Seven Bowls Of Wrath
Peter and Maria decipher the formula found on Seth’s microchip. Peter begins to understand how Seth is planning to bring about the end of the world. In the catacombs underneath the Vatican, Cardinal Menendez loses God for all eternity, while Peter and Maria desperately try to intercept a courier transporting an alchemical substance from Kathmandu to Rome.
Apocalypsis 1.11: The Thing Under The Rock
On the eve of the conclave, Peter learns from Franz Laurenz shocking truths about the evil that has long since begun to destroy the world for good. The annihilation of the Church will only be the beginning of the apocalypse. Peter realizes that there is only one chance to avert the disaster: he has to meet with his arch-enemy Nikolas.
Apocalypsis 1.12: Conclave
Final Episode
The Conclave begins but is ill-fated from the start. As the College of Cardinals casts the first ballot, isolated from the outside world, Maria frees Peter from his terrible imprisonment. While Franz Laurenz and Seth are in the Castel Sant’Angelo fighting a duel to the death, Peter and Maria are in the Necropolis underneath the Vatican, searching feverishly for the Seven Bowls of Wrath.
