Wallace has had enough thrown at him that it is creating chinks in his “orders are orders” armor. Ordered to go back into the ZOO to fight mercenaries, he is given a rough group to command.
With this many people conniving and backstabbing, is it any wonder bullets and accusations might fly in all directions? Further, could Wallace’s absent friend be making a play? With Pepper and Gunnar along for the ride, the chuckles (in even the direst of situations) can’t help but occur. There are plans within plans for the ZOO. Can Hall accomplish his secret goals while getting rid of someone who has become a problem? This time, Wallace is being pushed to the breaking point.
Calm Before The Storm (#6)
Something Is Insanely Wrong In The Zoo. But What Else Is New? Wallace is not unstoppable, and the ZOO is more than willing to demonstrate that to him personally. Hall has information about Kemp, and he wants Wallace to bring her back alive. Given his leftover doubts from his conversation with the German ambassador, will Wallace follow orders? Dr. Christopher Lin has his own data about Kemp, and he is coming back without permission.

Ava Martin, medical school dropout and government support staff just made it out of the ZOO alive. Manny is…strange is a nice way of describing the helicopter pilot. How in the world are these two going to help someone caught in the ZOO? Fortunately for those stuck in the ZOO, crazy just might be the right strategy. The ZOO is making its move. Will those around the ZOO survive to hold it off, or is the world now a few short years of total destruction?
One Crazy Machine (#9)
Never pi** off a scorpion… Especially one that was born in the ZOO.
The group got hit by a ZOO attack, and they mostly feel good about themselves.
Unfortunately, one ‘minor’ scorpion gets past the wall and is traveling further into the desert. Should they let it go to die in the desert, or make sure it is dead by trying to find it? Manny believes it might be pregnant. But, do you trust an arguably insane individual with a ‘seventh sense’?

When is it smart to push Manny too far? The short answer is never.
Kessler wants to test new combat suits – but also wants to try and find a ‘safe’ place to test out the expensive R&D. Is there any place inside the ZOO they can find safe enough to test the equipment and get back out alive?
Peppy and Gunnar are helping but Peppy might have a reason to be a bit worried.
