Anton Witkowsky has had enough, he chokes. He is fed up with its suburbs rotten, his parents pushed him to work a tray that would lead to the same miserable life than them. No, the thing is boxing. Around him constantly repeat it, it has gold in his fists! Anton decided to go after his dream, despite his father’s absolute disagreement.

Baru is the only author to have twice received the prestigious Best Album award at Angouleme in 1991 with The Way of America who was already treating and boxing in 1996 with the remarkable The highway of the sun.
Baru is also one of the first French writers to have been published in Japan.This is indeed the land of the Rising Sun that appeared first Highway of the Sun, along with road movie storytelling format and have much in common with the manga culture.
Baru is also an author who likes to talk about young people from modest backgrounds but biting life to the fullest,far from being satisfied with a deplorable situation.
Baru is finally an author with a unique style, very personal. In addition to his powerful dialogues and its dynamic layout, boiled and his characters are inimitable and communicate to the perfection of simple but strong feelings like hate, love, joy, passion,distress … So many feelings in the service of human relationships predominate, often strained.

All these ingredients are there for our delight in the madman. However,this is the first time the author does not give us a complete story in one volume and two but it is only natural that some frustration sets in until later. Thus,some people find that first half a little too linear and predictable but it is likely that the result will prove more dramatic and memorable.

Hope that the conclusion of this diptych keep all its promises, which will make the new value rabid safe from the prestigious collection Aire Libre.
