I never asked to be an angel. Truthfully, being an angel kinda sucks.
No one told me about the chaotic mess of powers I’d inherit, or that I’d black out when I fly, waking up naked in random places. Or that I could only sleep in windowless rooms. Or that every time I pick up a weapon, there’s a good chance someone dies.
But I, Dags Jourdain, do good… sort of… at least as much as anyone can do good as a demon-hunting P.I. in Hollywood, California.
One night, in a particularly nasty fight with a demon in an alley, I accidentally save the life of a movie star. Not long after, someone opens a hell portal under the Hollywood sign, a dead guy leaves me his dog, people I know are being hunted, and a homicide detective who hates me from high school is trying to decide if I’m a serial killer.
Oh, and I might have met my soul mate.
Only she’s a major movie star with a movie star boyfriend.
But I’m still on the job. I still have to find some way to save lives, and keep Los Angeles from sinking into an even deeper pit of hell, hopefully without killing its two biggest stars.
