Overview: Meet Margrite, the newest owner of Otherworldly: A New Age Experience. A magical shop high in the mountains, it caters to the needs of the supernatural community, along with a few humans who wander in. Running a business is never without challenges. It’s made more challenging when bodies of the dearly departed keep showing up in the most awkward places. All Margrite wants to do is carry on the legacy of Otherworldly. Unfortunately, along with ownership comes magic that kills.

Hocus Pocus & Headaches (#1)
We’d always joked, Cherry and I, that all we needed were the magical powers of Bewitched, and the hot elf from the movies to come into our shop, Otherworldly, and we’d be set. I never thought it would happen, but here I am.
I also never thought Cherry, my best friend, my business partner, and my family, would die and leave me.
But she did.
And in the way that all the bad things happen at once, my long-term boyfriend has informed me he’s moving out. Did I mention that Cherry was actually magical? That she had powers? And that those powers were now mine, if I wanted them?So why isn’t anything working like it should?
I’d better figure it all out, before I’m arrested for murder.
Welcome to a day in the life of a brand new medium.
Fresh start. New hotness. Magic that kills. Who wouldn’t want that?
Batwings & Bloating (#2)
"Fresh start. New hotness. Magic that kills." Who wouldn’t want that?
I’m finally starting to feel comfortable in my new role. Not only am I the sole owner of the Otherworldly New Age shop, I’m using the medium gifts left to me by Cherry and actually helping people. It feels good.
After all that happened with my last love interest, I figured that was it for me, but here I am, putting a toe into the dating pool, hoping this new guy doesn’t get killed, or try to kill me, or anything killing related at all. I don’t know. His mother’s not real fond of me. So that could be a problem. if I was shaking a Magic 8-ball, it would be living on the Cannot Predict Now response.
Even with the questionable dating experience, life is going fairly well. Which is when everything goes sideways. Whether that’s my new clients, the mystery mail that gets sent to me – on a Sunday, no less! – with a plea for justice, I can’t tell. They are both taking up a lot of space in my head. Which is made worse by the realization that I’m trying to solve a murder. Maybe even a pair of murders. and wright a wrong that’s been allowed to stand for more than one hundred years. It’s all wrapped up in the history of the town that I love so dearly.
Why is it so hard for evil men, women, and deeds to just die? I could use a break, and I’d love it if no one tried to kill me. That would be great.
