Overview: C.P. Lapeña began writing when she was a very young child and wrote for school publications throughout her youth. Her literary works centered mainly around poetry and some short fiction, besides numerous essays and academic papers. She is an avid reader of fiction and has always dreamed of writing novels. Since she migrated in 2007 to Prince Edward Island, the smallest province of Canada, she has written several reviews and maintains a blog where she shares poetry, essays, art, and other random works and ideas. Before moving to Canada where she gained citizenship in 2013, she had written several educational and academic texts, as well as a full-length play that won 3rd prize in the Philippines’s prestigious Carlos Palanca National Awards for Literature in 2007.

1. The Lost Amulets
Four teenagers are recruited by Littlefolk to find their missing king and three amulets that will restore natural order to the parallel world Dapit-Adlaw where fantastic and mythical beings exist. They encounter these beings, both good and evil, and race against time to solve the riddles and find the amulets that will help to restore vital elements in Dapit-Adlaw. Their final mission is to release the God of the Hunt from a curse. As the children make many new friends and help defeat the followers of the evil Tasu Wey, they discover strength and build confidence, and the 16-year-old lead character, in particular, learns to accept that mythical beings and magic do exist.
2. The Amulet of Fire
Even as Joey and Lily mourn the death of their parents, they are drawn back into the magical world of Panagaea along with their cousins, Ben and Cara, to continue their search for the third lost amulet, the Amulet of Fire.
With their friends, Tandang Langit and his loyal followers, they uncover treachery among their ranks and battle even greater forces of evil. An eerie encounter with a seer imbues Joey with the power to transcend the spirit realm, and with guidance from the elusive Maria Sinikuan, the adventurers follow her clues to recover the missing amulet.
