#1 – My best friend warned me about the end of the world.
Growing up, she was the girl down the street. Even then, I knew she was different. She was tough, rough, and had the strength to stop a speeding car with her bare hands. We were as thick as thieves, sharing every adventure.
Then one day she revealed a secret. She wasn’t from Earth. She was from a distant place called the Arcadia Multiverse. Her people lived under the rule of a god-like entity known as the System.
That System had its gaze fixed on Earth. And it was only a matter of time before it came for us.
But long before the System arrived, she vanished, leaving behind only a strange token that now dangles around my neck.
Yet, her parting words stayed with me. The System was bound for Earth. And when it came, I’d be ready for it.
I would triumph over this System and the new world it brought with it. And then, perhaps, I’d see my friend again.
#2 – The end of the world was just the beginning.
Trouble is coming for Earth and for the people of Crownhill. The wolfmen were only the start. Trolls and ogres now roam these unfamiliar lands. And worst of all, other humans wait and plot against us. With no one else to lead them, the burden of protecting these people falls to me.
But I am not alone. Bridget and Sakura loyally stand by my side. And now, at last, I am finally reunited with Myrina, my oldest friend. She hails from the world of the Amazonians, and her people have lived with the System for countless years. They know the answers to questions we haven’t even thought to ask.
With her help, we just might be able to survive the apocalypse. But she’s got problems of her own. Her clan is at war and cannot give me their support. They lack the magic equipment to defeat their rebellious foes. Perhaps a newly minted Artificer might be of use to them.
Nothing is certain, and conflict runs deeper than I ever realized in this world after the Apocalypse.
#3 – The Apocalypse was hard. What followed was harder.
The first integration was just the start for Earth. As we grappled with the aftermath of the first integration, a new, more daunting phase began. The System had unveiled additional shards, each a victorious fragment of a broken civilization, survivors and conquerors just like us. These battle-hardened and desperate people are determined to win, and pose a threat unlike any we’ve faced so far.
Meanwhile, the lifeline between Crownhill and Themyscira hangs in the balance. Elder Thalassa still holds a grudge against me, and without her mother, Cyra won’t have the sway to keep her at bay. If my shops in Shadefall are discovered, the flow of goods between Earth and Themyscira will surely be cut off, along with my hopes for victory on Earth.
Every battle I’ve endured, and every lover I’ve gained, has led me to this moment. To face these new threats, I’ll be counting on Bridget, Sakura, and Myrina more than ever. Now, the fate of two realms rests on our shoulders.
