Part (#1) Jada Howarth doesn’t believe in fantasies, unlike her sister who dreams of being swept into happily-ever-after in the sculpted arms of a billionaire. Jada knows the truth, that rich men want supermodels, actresses and heiresses. They don’t want women from small towns with smaller bank accounts, women who lead normal, ordinary lives like Jada.
Then the day arrives when Jada awakes to find a swarm of reporters outside her house. They want the scoop on her secret marriage to Ian Buckley, one of the wealthiest, most sought-after bachelors in the country. Jada is dumbfounded. She has no idea what they’re talking about, but they’re too busy jostling for the scoop to listen to her.
Ian Buckley, billionaire and man-in-charge, couldn’t be more surprised when he’s told that a marriage license was leaked to the press proving he married someone named Jada Howarth. He’s never heard of her, and he definitely doesn’t remember marrying her. Either he’s lost his wits, or someone’s out to make a fool of him.
When Ian sees the disheveled, lovely Jada on TV, peeking out her door in horror at the press crushing her lawn, he’s confident she’s not behind the scam. He’ll have to meet her to be certain. Men should probably meet their wives, anyway, shouldn’t they?
It’ll be fun getting to the bottom of this fiasco. Perhaps some time together at his lakeside estate will do the trick.

Part (#2) Jada’s in a bind. On the one hand, her new billionaire husband Ian is probably the sexiest man alive and makes her tingle in all the right places. On the other hand, he’s engaged to a supermodel who just crashed their dinner-for-two. Talk about awkward.
Ian’s less concerned about his jilted fiancée and more concerned about getting some alone time with his lovely bride. Their kiss on the dock has whet his appetite for more, and he’s unaware that good-girl Jada might not be prepared for the moral ambiguities of life among the rich and famous.
On top of everything else, how, exactly, did Ian’s and Jada’s names wind up on a marriage license in the first place? Whodunnit? Jada has several suspects in mind …

Part (#3) An overdue confession makes one tough-to-keep secret
Jada doesn’t want to hear what her sister, Marina, has to confess. But when Marina blurts out the truth, there’s no way to turn back time. Now Jada has a secret she must keep from her fake husband, Ian, and there’s no way that’ll turn out well.
Ian believes he knows whodunnit, and since he can’t do anything about it until the three-day weekend is over, he might as well focus his energies on the lovely lady who’s haunting his dreams. Too bad the house is full of annoying guests who keep getting in his way.
Paradise has its problems for everyone, except Ms. Kitty. She’s living the good life with free massages and all the fresh salmon she can eat, above the drama until she spies something tempting flouncing around on Agatha Brimgore’s skinny feet. Time until pounce: one, two, three …

Part (#4) Tuesday morning’s outrageous news leaves everyone reeling. Jada’s in shock, Ian’s furious, and someone, somewhere, is hiding the truth behind this latest bombshell. It’s up to Jada and Ian to track down the witnesses and suspects, to uncover the facts behind the fiasco, and to repair Jada’s damaged reputation.
But when the mystery’s solved, what will become of Jada’s and Ian’s relationship? Jada thinks it might be best to close the book on this fairy tale early, before they both turn into pumpkins and roll away in opposite directions, traveling paths that will never cross again.
