Overview: No profession gives you such a gamut of experiences as compared to Police. You are an investigator, a scientist, a doctor, an engineer, a soldier, a lawyer, a politician, a jurist, an administrator, a social worker, a protector, a saviour, whatever you can think of. Fame and ignominy accompany you on both sides, and you find yourself constantly on a razor’s edge.
The carefully chosen stories will lay bare most of these traits of a police officer before the reader.
The book is a collection of my experiences as a Police Officer. I have included anecdotes that have left indelible footprints on the sands of my memory and unique cases that had a twist in their criminality or investigation. Some of them were so-called high-profile cases in their own right. These cases had hit the headlines during those times, though they faded to oblivion with time. I have also added some light-hearted incidents to break the monotony.
While the narrative will give an insight into the police functioning to a layman, it will help all those in the profession learn from a fellow officer’s omissions and commissions and guide their decision-making in near similar situations.
