Naeesha has been the most important person in Marko’s life since they both finished training. He stayed by her side for their entire military career. When it was over, he thought they might settle down together and share a different kind of life. But it wasn’t meant to be.
Confused and brokenhearted, he left to find happiness by fixing the damage he had done as a soldier. He thought that by making peace with an old enemy, he could fill the hole in his heart. But nothing could replace Naeesha.
When she shows up out of the blue, Marko thinks that his prayers have been answered. But their reunion is not an accident. Trouble follows Naeesha and threatens the new life that Marko has made. The two of them are thrust back into the center of a thirty year old struggle, and they must fight to survive. Their love can never be safe as long as war rages all around them, but making peace could mean losing everything .
