3. A Prayer of Freaks and Sinners

Alfred, Deena, and a motley group of runaways with a shared blessing gather in Ironghast Monastery to begin their induction in the Order of Ashes. If they want to survive in the Torrent, they first have to survive their training.
Once they step over the threshold into a world of darkness, only the tiny holy light of their blessing can guide them. And there are hungry, ancient things waiting for them in the dark.
The last surviving paladin, Invar Ironbound, embarks on a quest of his own to find a missing page of the Libram of Ashes. The book written in god’s own hand. On the missing page is the Prayer of Light and Venom. A spell powerful enough to defeat the Green King and his Sorrow army. Invar is getting old, but he has to find the strength for one last task.
Meanwhile, puppet-king Oligan Rathratta wrestles with madness as his wife and children finally wake from decades of cursed slumber. But they are not the people he remembers. In fact, they are not people at all.
