Love transcends all boundaries. Even death.
Trapped in the Halfway House, Molly must formulate an escape plan to return to Earth and protect Sam and Casey from drugs kingpin Lopez. Trapped in limbo, Molly talks to the eccentric warden of the Halfway House to allow her to return to Earth, to no avail. She then befriends an unlikely ally who unwittingly presents her with the missing piece of the puzzle Molly needs.
Can she escape and get back to Earth to keep Sam safe from the baron? Or will she remain trapped in the Halfway House forever?

1. Denial
THE ANGEL’S EYES were covered, preventing her from receiving any undue influence. She had a small smile on her face, one that had mocked viewers for centuries.
In one hand, she clutched a sword, point nodding at the ground. In the other, she held the chain of a set of weighty scales aloft, high above her head. She was strong, confident, dominant. There was no escaping her wrath, no denying her vengeance. She would have final say.

2. Anger
Molly laid on the bed. It was made of the same glass-like material that made up the rest of the room, even the entire building. It was hard as stone and uncomfortable as hell.
She was singing a song to herself. It didn’t have any meaning. She cut from a lyric in one song to another without stopping or often, without changing tune. Anything to stop her having to think about where she was and what she had gone through. The prison was quiet. No one made much sound. She suspected it was because of the guards that floated down from the ceiling to quell any disturbance.

3. Bargaining
Molly ran.
She had no safe haven, no place these creatures could not reach. She had no idea what else she ought to do. She would never get tired. She needed to outrun them for one week, or until she knew they would stop following her.
She ran across the pavement and into the street, turning to check her immediate vicinity. A car headed toward her, engine thrashed. Too late to do anything else, Molly threw up her arms.

4. Depression
The only way he could know those things was if he was present during those moments himself or…
Sam shook his head. He couldn’t believe what he was thinking.
Or, O’Dell was telling the truth.
He was in contact with Molly somehow.
O’Dell was a man of limited means. He did not act with the intelligence of someone who had an advanced understanding of computers.

5. Acceptance
The world was a blur. Her head thudded like a demon was trying to get out. Her eyes rolled back in her head and she almost passed unconscious.
Again?
Casey couldn’t recall. All she could remember was a jumbled bunch of images.
Stumbling down the stairs.
O’Dell’s grinning face.
Roy’s face fuming.
Dancing with an invisible partner…
Had it all been a dream?
