After Days Trilogy by Scott Medbury (#2-3)
Requirements: ePUB / MOBI Reader, 1.3MB
Overview: I began writing in Primary (Junior) School, and I have continued on and off for over 30 years. I always knew I that could write to entertain and that I had a novel or two in me, but life always seemed to get in the way. I completed a manuscript called "Echo Valley" in 2006 but with a young family and a full time job, it was always too hard and time consuming to try and break down the gates of traditional publishing.
I began my journey as a self-published author in March of 2012 when my daughter asked when I was going to get off my butt and get Echo Valley published. At a loose end that day, I entertained the idea and did some research. That’s when I discovered Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. As an experiment I published a short story (along the lines of Shades of Grey which was huge at the time) and sold three copies the first night. I was on my way.
Genre: Fiction; Sci-fi/Fantasy, Post-Apocalyptic, Dystopian
#2 – Sanctuary
Against the odds and despite the carnage of an unstoppable disease and relentless enemy, Isaac Race has delivered his group to safety… or has he?
Something is not quite right about the Drake Mountain Research facility and it has nothing to do with the black bags over their heads or the guns at their backs when they arrive. Rescued from the invading army, they should feel safe and secure, but all of them sense something is amiss. Their rescue has only raised more questions…why have they been separated from their friend Sonny? Why is there a military and Homeland Security presence in the facility? What is the head of the facility, Professor Leahy, working on and why is it so secret?
#3 – Attrition
he final instalment of the gripping post apocalyptic trilogy
Following their hurried escape from the Drake Mountain Facility, Isaac and his group stumbled upon a farmhouse in a secluded valley. It’s what they’ve been looking for. A place to make their home, both now and in the future.
Their joy is tempered by questions though. How will they feed and look after themselves, especially with a baby on the way? Was the virus unleashed against the invaders successful or will they be watching out for the oppressors for the rest of their lives? And…even if they are gone, what other dangers in the post apocalyptic world await them.
Only time will tell if they have found the salvation they have been seeking or if their dreams will be crushed, leaving them to the same fate as all those that have died since the unprovoked attack on their country.
