Overview: Bodies and romance and zombies, oh my!
Not quite what I was thinking of when I considered how I wanted to move forward, but you don’t always get what you want. Of course, I have to get out of bed if I want to get anything done, much less move forward, but that’s a taller order than you might think. I’m just so tired!
However, life and business and death go on, whether I want it to or not. When the local sheriff office asks me to hang onto parts, I’m not quite sure what they mean until I open the bag they sent. And it’s parts.Not whole bodies. Parts.
Worse, the parts have ghosts. Who can’t stay clothed. If naked ghosts weren’t bad enough, there’s a crazy man running around Montpier trying to bite people.
On the plus side, things with me and John Henry are in… shall we say… a much better place? Yes. That’s what we shall say. But who knows for how long? It was only a couple of weeks ago he was giving his notice of termination of his lease, and he was ready to leave Montpier forever.
Something evil has landed in my little town and while I can’t pinpoint it, I know that if I don’t work with my ghosts, and John Henry – it could get loose and hurt a lot more than the poor people who are in my morgue.
When I thought I wanted more adventure in my life, this wasn’t what I envisioned. But you don’t always get what you want, do you? Only, I don’t think this is what I need, either.
