A6 M2-N Rufe (Famous Airplanes) by Krzysztof Janowicz
Requirements: .PDF reader, 20 MB
Overview: This fighter floatplane was developed from the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M “Zero”, to support amphibious operations and defend remote naval bases. It was based on the A6M-2 Model 11 fuselage, with a modified tail and floats. A total of 327 were built.

The seaplane was deployed in 1942, and was operational in defensive actions in the Aleutians and Solomon Islands. Such seaplanes were effective at night for harassing the American PT boats, and because they were able to fly so low, they were very difficult to detect.

This is a detailed, illustrated review of the infamous craft, and includes color artwork profiles and a decal sheet in three scales: 1:72, 1:48 and 1:32.
