Overview: Brady was a bit of a lad. At seventeen he and his father didn’t see eye to eye. Brady was an only child and since his mothers death, Keith his father had become very authoritarian and discipline minded.
Brady rebelled and as a result, his father banished him into the care of his good friend Bluey Hain, on Bullbrook Station.
Brady’s arrival at Bullbrook was as far from the lights of Auckland as it was possible to be.
His first experiences at Bullbrook, made him even more convinced that no one had a right to enforce their will upon his being.
He was originally intending to flee this new prison, when by chance Dillon showed he was a person whom Brady could respect. Time changes feelings, and slowly he found a place more like home than the one he had left.
Blueys desire to encourage the young Brady into farming, took a new turn when Brady started working with Dillon and Grant on the sheep and cattle studs.
Events unfolded that Brady hadn’t contemplated. Events which would have profound influences on the young Brady’s life.
One such event would make the young man grow up very quickly, and as a result make him take control of his life and his future.
Ian came into Brady’s life at this time, and their friendship grew. A friendship with purpose and meaning.
Ian would listen, console and guide Brady along a path to higher achievement.
With Dillon, Grant and Blueys help, Brady reaches for the sky and his association with Ian flourishes’.
They seek new challenges and with every step their love grows.
A story set in a truly rural environment, it touches ones belief that absolutely anything is possible if you want and work for it enough.
