A.K.A. The Alien
All humans are not identical.
You do not play hide-and-seek with dead bodies.
You should not change the colour of your eyes.
These are some of the things the alien calling himself Ben learns when he first comes across a ship full of humans. He has soon read the contents of the entire ship’s computer and knows more about humans than the whole crew put together, but as playing at humans turns out to be fun he decides to stick around for a while. These are the first series of short snippet stories about Ben on board the Bonaventure.

A. K. A. The Alien: series 2
Ben is once more back on board the Bonaventure, and the ship is making its way back to base. Very slowly. The bosses of Min-XR are not so sure they want a powerful alien loose in their city, and it is not long before they are plotting to keep him away from Camp Munro while they decide what exactly to do with him. Ben is still enjoying his life amongst the humans, and has now taken up the new hobbies of surgery, dissecting watches (not necessarily with the owner’s permission) and practising shrugging and modest looks.

A. K. A. The Alien: series 3
Ben has the chance to explore the joys of Camp Munro before the Bonaventure departs for a deployment of mineral exploration and analysis in an asteroid field. He has to sort out some officers of Min-XR suspicious of just how alien he actually is, get used to a new Captain and crew, and deal with some troublesome fish, but nothing distracts Ben from his observation of human culture in quite unnecessary detail.
