NOVELS:
To Kiss, or Kill (1951)
Barney Mandell had more women than he knew what to do with. There was Rosemary, sweet and eager, every man’s dream of the girl next door. There was Cherry, a luscious blonde who’d lost her innocence too long ago to remember. And then there was Gale, a rich girl with a body money couldn’t buy.
Barney wanted them all and all of them wanted Barney.
Take a Step to Murder (1959)
Only a short time ago Renner had told the harsh truth to Tamara.
"Look," he had said, "I’m forty thousand dollars short on this deal and you can help me. I know this Kelcey Anders who isn’t quite normal, understand? With him girls are a disease. Here’s what I want you to do: let him rough you up a little, let him try to rape you and then scream for help. I’ll break in and threaten him with arrest. But that’ll never happen because his old man will pay off to keep his son out of prison. Pay off forty thousand dollars to keep you quiet."
Renner never forgot the look of disgust on Tamara’s face, and as he stared down at the body of Kelcey Anders, he thought he knew who had mutilated and killed the town satyr.
Too Hot to Hold (1959)
If only Lew Dix hadn’t picked Linda Lou to carry the payoff money, none of this would be happening and the cab driver would still be alive. It starts when Linda Lou takes the plane from Chicago to New York as planned. It’s raining when she gets there and she’s already plenty nervous with this pretty package in her hands. She manages to get a taxi but she stuffs the package between the seat cushions just to be extra careful. How is she to know that the big man who opens the cab door with his hand in his pocket isn’t carrying a gun, ready to blast her and grab the money? But all Jim Brady wants is a cab. When he opens the door, Linda bolts, leaving the package behind–and setting off a series of events that begins with murder and ends with worse.
