Keppelberg
An ex-soldier living in Cornwall gets an invitation to his sister’s house in the north of England. He drives there but loses his way and ends up at a remote place called Keppelberg. It appears to be very strange to him, being set in Victorian times, and he is unjustly asked to leave by the police. He continues his journey to his sister but he remains curious about Keppelberg and goes back to find out more about it. The inhabitants do not make him welcome and he is incarcerated in jail. However he escapes to undertake his own investigation and what he discovers both astonishes and shocks him. For example, why are there no old people living in Keppelberg?

Jeff Hunter’s wife is killed in a hit-and-run accident which leaves him devastated. However he is plagued by her apparition because she tells him she cannot move on to the next world until the rapist and killer of a murdered young girl is found. She tells him it is imperative that he finds the murderer albeit it took place some years ago and no one was ever arrested or punished for the crime. Hunt is an architect but he is forced to turns detective to find the criminal and he finds himself facing a myriad of corridors in his quest with no help from the police who are ostensibly reluctant to become involved. They are even more reluctant to become involved especially when Hunter explains the paranormal situation and he is therefore in a constant conflict with them. However, by degrees and determination, he eventually finds the solution to the problem in his efforts to release the spirit of his dead wife into the next world.

DON WISE is a clever scientist but he is obese, ugly, and has big ears. In addition, he stutters, is tongue-tied with women, and isvery awkward in his body language. DAVID COLEMAN is the Controller of the brainstorming unit at Universal Energy. He steals the formula and the notes and wipes the computer clean of the files before leaving without notice. ANYA SMIRNOFF, a young female scientist from Samarkand in Uzbekistan, joins the brainstorming unit in place of HARRIS, but she has to wear a mask because of a serious car accident. DON WISE falls in love with her, himself wearing bandages as a result of cosmetic surgery, while she wears a mask. The hydrogentics programme fails and Mr. G. moves on to find a jeweller willing to copy the famous Faberge Eggs for which he intends to make a fortune. However the security code that everyone uses when they contact each other is ‘The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over The Lazy Dog.’ So how come the same code is used by the new Controller who takes the place of DAVID COLEMAN?
Ancestor
Sam Ross’s wife dies in a car crash after finding him in bed with another woman. After the funeral, he decides to trace his family tree and, as he is Jewish, he reckons that he might trace his ancestors back four thousand years when they hauled stones as slaves to build the pyramids in Egypt. His grandparents all came form different countries and he begins his quest in Minsk in Russia, and goes on to Iasi in Rumania, Warsaw and Ulm in Germany where he meets a young woman with whom he falls in love. They marry and then she has a child. Her cousin, Anna, comes to live with them as a nanny but creates a menage-a-trois with Lesbian interest. Ross however, becomes obsessed with the research into his ancestry and it goes on from there. Full of information, it is an intriguing story with a great deal of interesting features.
