The Reality Matrix
Inspired by the Heinlein short story "Year of the Jackpot" and perhaps written partly in tribute to the master of science fiction, Dalmas takes conventional wisdom and turns it on it’s ear. In doing so he creates a theory that encompasses Native American spirituality, paranormal phenomenon, prior mythology, past life experiences, ghosts, the Loch Ness monster, and the theory of Atlantis, and blends them seamlessly into a fantastic application of good vs. evil.
Something very real is threatening to terminate our planet. Something from outside.
Bill Van Wyk knows only that something is seriously wrong; statistical analysis proves it.
Olaf Sigurdsson knows the approximate destruct time, but not what to do about it.
Soldiers
Alpha-Males: You can’t live with ’em, but sometimes you can’t live without ’em. An alien migration fleet – 14,000 starships strong – searches the stars for a new home, its homeworld forever lost. When they finally find planets that can support them, all they have to do is eradicate the pesky human natives, a task they assume is easily within their powers. But Earth’s Commonwealth of Worlds isn’t about to give up so easily – even if it has to create and train something it hasn’t had for centuries: soldiers!
The Lantern of God
They Were Pleasure Droids.
Designed for maximum esthetic sensibility and appeal, these human-gene-based androids were intended for consumption on the wealthier colony planets – but when the interstellar cargo ship transporting them to their fate suffered catastrophic systems failure all that changed. Automatic emergency procedures dropped them on a nearby deserted planet and in the two thousand years that have passed since then the droids have forgotten their provenance and created a world of their own.
But "real" humans, descendants of the starship’s crew, have arrived upon the scene. Unless they do something to save themselves, a two-thousand-year era of droid freedom is about to come to a sharp and bloody end.
The Puppet Master
Future technology gives criminals new ways to steal and murder then cover their tracks. Life is no easier for private eye Martti Seppanen in a Los Angeles Phillip Marlowe wouldn’t recognize. A murder weapon may be a bioengineered disease, the murderer may be someone who can control other people mentally, and the victim may be someone whose legal status as a human is in limbo and whose existence is a government secret.
This book consists of three parts:
A Most Singular Murder – a novella
The Puppet Master – a novel
The Case Of The Duplicate Beauties – a novelet
