She began writing her own stories when she ran out of new ones to read. Zoe lives in the snow-belt of Ohio. She is a former Special Education Teacher, and has a passion for romance in general, Pride and Prejudice in particular, and NASCAR. Zoe is a member of the Austen Authors group, a PAN member of the Romance Writers of America, the Northeast Ohio chapter of the RWA, and the Beau Monde chapter of the RWA. She also belongs to the Jane Austen Society of North America, and JASNA’s Ohio North Coast chapter.

Decisions and Consequences: Elizabeth Bennet has received two proposals of marriage in the last twelve hours: one from her ridiculous cousin Mr. Collins and the other from the arrogant and disdainful Mr. Darcy. She turns both of them down flat. Unfortunately for her, between her mother’s insistence that she marry and some mysterious hold Mr. Darcy has over her father, she is forced to choose one.
Fitzwilliam Darcy is a man in need of a wife. He has searched high and low amongst the high society women of London but has yet to meet someone who combines all the attributes he requires. When he meets Miss Elizabeth Bennet in the small market town of Meryton, he finds her pointed dislike of him refreshing in its honesty. After observing her for a while, he decides he will marry her, and instructs his solicitor to investigate Mr. Bennet in the hopes of finding some sort of leverage to force her to accept him.
Though she chooses Darcy, Elizabeth is not happy. It takes weeks of being in his presence and learning his character, and the drama of people totally unrelated to her, to make Elizabeth see that that the consequence of her decision could possibly be a deep, abiding love.
Matches Made at Netherfield: One ball, two compromises, a lifetime of happiness.
In an attempt to out-scheme his sister and see his friend happily married, Charles Bingley is planning more than a ball. But will what he has planned bring about the desired conclusion?
Fitzwilliam Darcy attends Bingley’s ball to please his friend. He has not thoughts of making a match in Hertfordshire no matter what his heart may tell him about the lovely Elizabeth Bennet.
To Elizabeth, Darcy is no more than the slightly rude friend of her neighbor, pleasant when he chooses to be but otherwise unremarkable. She long ago vowed to marry only for love.
Now, forced to marry, the expectations of both have been changed. How will they react? Will they be able to create for themselves the happily ever after they have always wanted?
Mr. Darcy’s Love: In this Pride & Prejudice short story, Elizabeth Bennet is injured immediately after overhearing Fitzwilliam Darcy insult her at the Meryton Assembly. She loses all memory of the incident. Without her feelings of offense, their relationship starts off on a better foot, which leads them to love far sooner than would happen otherwise. This in turn leads Elizabeth to react differently to those who would try to derail their happiness. Mr. Collins, Mr. Wickham, Lady Catherine, and even Miss Bingley will soon find themselves in places they never imagined they would be. This story contains a non-graphic attempted sexual assault scene.
