Aditya, the protagonist of the novel, is a young extroverted boy who unfortunately lands up in the degree he disliked — engineering. The boy is not clear about his life’s visions or goals and he feels out of place in the engineering college he studies in. Having a lot of ideas and dreaming about love, Aditya finds a glow in his life after meeting his would-be lover, Riya. Riya studies in the same college as Aditya and she meets him through mutual friends. Soon after getting to know each other, they start falling in love. The couple sinks into the love relationship very deeply in a quick time. They take seven promises in their relationship, just like newly married couples. Aditya is totally enamored and spell-bound by his new found romantic relationship that he feels life is going perfectly for him. The flow of his life gets disrupted upon the emergence of Aditya’s trust issues, where he starts to doubt Riya’s actions. This slowly undermines their relationship and their love begins to crumble.
