Overview: I’m Tess Mackenzie and I write smut. I haven’t put up one of these pages until now because it seemed a bit creepy. Like how back in the day you might not have necessarily wanted a close personal relationship with the porno video shop clerk. Unless it’s that funny chick that ended up writing a book, but that’s neither here nor there. I was kind of assuming the same, and you might rather not know, but all the other smutty authors have pages like this, so I decided I probably should too.

Evie’s Job
Natalie and Evie are very different people. They are very different in age, and in income, and at very different stages of their lives. Natalie is a partner in a large law firm, and Evie is a law student at university. They meet at a work function of Natalie’s, where Evie is working as a waitress, and begin to talk. Natalie is lonely, and has been single for several years, and is intensely attracted to Evie. On impulse, she offers Evie money for sex. Evie is surprised, and unsure whether to accept, or be offended, or quite what she should do. In the end, the simplest thing seems to be to say yes. She isn’t sure why, and is a little surprised at herself, but it seems like it she might as well, since – although Natalie doesn’t know it – she is attracted to Natalie too and probably would have ended up sleeping with her anyway. From that beginning, Evie and Natalie become closer, overcoming the slightly odd way in which they met. They begin to deal with the problems their different ages and lives pose to a relationship. They disagree, but cope when they do, and gradually become closer. In the end, after obstacles and misunderstandings and confusion, everything ends happily.
Not-Sex on Not-Dates
Becky and Liv have gone out to catch up, and have fun, but mostly to cheer Becky up. Becky is single, and utterly sick of single, because she has been for months and needs a change. They go out for sushi and dessert and to see a play, and then they go back to Becky’s place, where Liv offers Becky sex. Becky is a little surprised. She knows Liv likes women, so it isn’t a complete surprise to be hit on, but Becky has never been with a woman before, and Liv knows that perfectly well. Becky wonders whether to accept. She starts to think she will. A cheer-up quickie seems like a nice idea, if it doesn’t get too complicated. If it doesn’t. Except that perhaps it will.
The Debt Collectors War
Ellie is a soldier in a world without governments.
A generation ago, a series of financial crises caused most of the world’s governments to collapse, and left many of the people in those countries in terrible personal debt. Since then, the worst debtor nations have been under military occupation by the troops of the debt-recovery corporations, and the worst debtor of all is Měi-guó, the old United States. Ellie is serving in the Afghan Police Action when she receives bad news from home. She is told the daughter she hasn’t seen in years has died. She flies home, upset, to take care of the funeral and whatever else needs to be done, but once there she finds all is not as it seems.
Ellie’s daughter is alive and unhurt. She is being held hostage by one of the many debt-recovery corporations. By the corporation which, indirectly, Ellie works for. Held, for leverage, to make Ellie do the corporation a favour. Ellie’s daughter will be returned unharmed if Ellie does as they wish. The son of a company director is lost somewhere in the wilderness of post-debt-restructuring America, and hasn’t been seen for three days. The company wants Ellie to go and find the kid, but Ellie doesn’t know if she can. She has always had one absolute rule all her working life, never go to America. Now she might have to. She will have to, if she wants to save the daughter she hasn’t seen in years.
