2100: Faith of the Machine by Christopher Cortis
Requirements: .ePUB .MOBI .AZW3 Reader | 1.1 MB
Overview: In the augmented near-future world of 2100, sentient Artificial Intelligence benevolently presides over the daily workings of human habitation. Humanity is perfectly happy in the automated Great Cities, able to survive comfortably under AI’s gentle wing in the wasteland the world has become.
All people except for Jack, that is. This long-time resident and self-proclaimed thrill-seeker has grown bored of the useless slump into which humanity has fallen, and when he discovers pockets of life outside of his own city, NCC, he decides to investigate.
Jack struggles to deal with the pain and discomfort that comes with living away from technology, but soon a mystery surrounding another splinter of AI begins to unfold itself. Alongside an activist with a grudge against technology and a teenager with decades of memories, Jack must resist the call from the four horsemen of humanity’s apocalypse- comfort, complacency, ignorance, and blame.
