Overview: Offspring of an Italian/German family in Germany, Leska attended a Catholic all girls school before going on to university to get a degree in Japanese. She lived and worked in Japan for a year as a kindergarten teacher, then underwent teacher and theatre pedagogics training. She is currently a classroom teacher in Alaska.
She told stories even before she could write them down, and was always fascinated by words and language (according to trustworthy sources a.k.a. parents). As far as the written word is concerned, nothing is safe from her — novels, drabbles, poems, plays, scripts; she tries everything at least once.
Her passions include tea parties, all things edible (first and foremost chocolate), science-fiction in any form, researching, and snow.
When Leska isn’t in front of a class teaching, or working on another novel, you’re most likely to find her at home, daydreaming about other worlds. Lifelong dream: Produce her own TV series and write blockbuster screenplays for Steven Spielberg!

The Devil Who Cared
Deep inside the earth lies a special place called Hell. The devils who work there have no corporeal existence, few memories, and count the passing time in aeons.
It’s three days before the New Year, a new millennium even, when Number Three gets stuck with the assignment to conquer the soul of a fallen angel, an angel dismissed from Heavenly services who now lives as a mortal among humans.
Number Three, in a brand-new male body, is surprised to find the fallen angel is no other than his old nemesis, Number Sixteen. To make matters even more fantastic, the angel asks for Three’s help in rescuing his ice cream parlour.
But while doing so, Number Three encounters strange new sensations, among them a genuine desire to actually help Angel and find out why he fell from Heaven. Angel is a very distracting assignment, and Three’s emotions as well as his human body respond to the closeness between them. When it’s time to wrap up his task, will Three be able to return to Hell and put Angel behind him?
The Firefighter in the Snow
Cody Laughman, a lonely firefighter in New York City, gets a blast from the past when his late father’s lawyer approaches him with news. It has been three years since Cody’s father’s death, the family house needs to be sold. Although Cody is glad to get rid of this part of his life, there is one final thing he needs to do — fly home to Muffin, Alaska, and make the property presentable.
He expects this to be a quick visit, just cleaning up some old memories he usually ignores. But memories are stubborn, and on top of everything else, he finds a real Christmas elf living in the attic of his house. Not a tiny fairy, but a full-grown, deliciously handsome man. He doesn’t even have pointed ears.
But can Cody open up to the possibility of finding love, when the ghost of Christmas past is still haunting him?
