Overview: Suzannah Davis was a popular North Louisiana native and a successful romance novelist. She grew up in the newspaper family of The Coushatta Citizen and worked for the paper. She was an honor graduate and drum major at Coushatta High School and an organist at St. George Catholic Church. She graduated from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Cum Laude in English and worked as a librarian and social worker before launching her career in the early 1980’s as a novelist. She published her first novel, "No Bed of Roses", in 1984, and at the time of her death she had written twenty-two novels. Her novels have been translated into more than a dozen different languages including Chinese, Russian and Japanese.
