Requirements: .ePUB reader, 1014 KB
Overview: Linda Thompson was born in Washington, D. C., and grew up in the Maryland suburbs. Perhaps this accounts for her love of culture and all things historical. She is an East Coast girl through-and-through, who loves the ocean! To her, there is no more soothing sound than the kiss of the surf as it reaches the sand.
Linda’s love of reading and particularly the Regency Era began during her long bus commutes in junior high school. During her last year in junior high, she was introduced to what would become her two favorite books: Gone With the Wind and Pride and Prejudice. Her first attempt at writing was a sequel to Gone With the Wind at the age of sixteen.

The Troublesome Mr. Collins: A Pride and Prejudice Variation
On the morning of the Netherfield ball, Elizabeth Bennet is surprised when Mr. Darcy appears on Oakham Mount. In the course of their conversation, the two clear up the misunderstandings between them. When Darcy asks for the first dance, Elizabeth regretfully informs him that her cousin, Mr. Collins, has already requested that set. Darcy can tell how little Elizabeth desires to dance with the gentleman and offers to assist in extricating her.
Mr. Collins is quick to believe Mr. Darcy’s words concerning Lady Catherine’s opinion of the parson’s choice of the outspoken Miss Elizabeth. However, upon discovering that Mr. Darcy is himself interested in Elizabeth, Mr. Collins steps in to stop the blossoming romance. When he faces Darcy’s wrath for his behaviour, the parson calls in reinforcements in the form of his esteemed patroness, Lady Catherine de Bourgh.
The mischief that ensues causes one disruption after another, but nothing can stand in the way of a love destined to be.

A Matter of Timing: A Pride and Prejudice Variation
They say that timing is everything . . .
Their chance meeting at Pemberley helped Elizabeth Bennet to realize her true feelings for Mr. Darcy. That same meeting gave him the opportunity to show Elizabeth that he had taken her criticism to heart and made improvements to his behaviour. Would this new start finally lead to their happily ever after?
How might the relationship between Elizabeth and Darcy have been different if they had become betrothed before Elizabeth learned of Lydia’s elopement? Would they have travelled to London together? Would Elizabeth have assisted in her sister’s recovery? Would Lydia and Wickham still have married or would there be another way to save Elizabeth’s youngest sister?
A Matter of Timing answers all those questions and more
