Overview: Kate Moore is a fourth generation Californian, who did her undergraduate work in the Boston area and returned to California for graduate school. Kate began her teaching career in 1969 in the public schools of San Francisco, and her writing career in 1984 in a class on Writing the Romance at Indian Valley College. She soon connected with Romance Writers of America, and won the Golden Heart for her first novel, To Kiss A Thief. Kate has since published ten novels, is a three-time RITA finalist, and has been a frequent speaker at workshops on writing or teaching. In addition to writing romance, Kate has a scholarly interest in analyzing it, and has published with the IASPR Journal of Popular Romance Studies.
