Overview: Patricia Simpson grew up in the wilderness of Western Montana, where it meant a 3-1/2 hour drive just to buy shoes. When she was young, the iPod hadn’t yet been invented, and there were no radio stations in the area, so on the many long drives for shoes, Patricia amused herself by reading novels or creating her own stories in her head. She was encouraged to write by her sister, who always asked to be read what she had written so far that day, her Egyptian-born English teacher in junior high, and then again by a creative writing professor at the University of Washington. Instead of seeking a writing degree, Patricia chose to pursue a BA in Art and has worked as a graphic artist/web developer at the University of Washington since 1982. Patricia still enjoys painting almost as much as she loves to write.

Imposter Bride: Sophie Vernet’s first trip to London is a disaster. She is accused of killing a man. Her mistress, who is slated to marry an English earl, dies in a fire. And a London constable aims to see her hang. Sophie must hide until the authorities stop looking for her. What better place to conceal herself than in the identity of her dead mistress?
For twenty long years, Ian Ramsay has done nothing but work toward a single goal: to get back Highclyffe, his family’s estate in Scotland. Nothing will stand in his way. Not the wastrel Earl of Blethin who now owns Highclyffe or the cruel heiress he is about to marry. When Ramsay discovers the heiress is actually a penniless imposter, he knows his long-held goal is finally within reach. All he has to do now is make sure Sophie marries his mortal enemy.
But as snow falls upon London that winter of 1765, Ramsay’s life takes a turn he could never have foreseen. He falls in love—with the one woman who could spoil everything.
The Haunting of Brier Rose: Rose Quennel’s painting studio becomes a place of whispering shadows the day Taylor Wolfe arrives with his walking cane and his strange blindness. Could he be the night creature who has taken possession of Rose’s dreams, or is there something else haunting Brierwood?
Rose is the last living member of an ancient family and is a virgin as well, but not for long. Who and what will pluck the rose from the brier? Good … or evil?
