Overview: ‘It’s a tendency of the world, whatever age, that there shall always be two objects of opposition. Yet while it shall always be legendary when it is between two powerful forces, it shall always be equally as powerful as when it is between two people.’
In the year 1876, Mr. Darcy of Britain revisits Philadelphia, and it has been almost two years since his disastrous proposal to Elizabeth Bennet, the strong-willed woman of Pennsylvania. Yet when he sees her again, things are quite different than before, but one thing is still certain: she is still fighting for the equal rights movement that is stirring over the country for women, and she accomapanies a woman who will change the future: Susan B. Anthony.
Yet Mr. Darcy, who is torn between feelings of betrayal and renewed feelings for her, worries of her endangering herself in the process, and as a result, he cannot help but feel for her, despite it all. And Elizabeth Bennet, who was initially at odds with Mr. Darcy, cannot help but find herself drawn to him, despite their love/hate relationship. Yet their different beliefs might still cause a rift between any understanding that they can reach, and it may all come to nothing! However, as they get closer to the holiday of July 4th, 1876, and Susan B. Anthony has one more trick up her sleeve of fighting for women’s right to vote, when Elizabeth chooses to stand by her friend and change the world around her… but will Mr. Darcy choose to believe in them?
Here comes another tale of Elizabeth Bennet and her Mr. Darcy!
