Overview: I was born in Portsmouth and was an only child for 10years. Having no TV until I was 13 and my family being unable to afford holidays, my main entertainment was reading. I joined the library at 7 and books were my constant companions. I wrote stories and poems from an early age but it wasn’t until I retired from the civil service and moved to Cornwall to be near my family that I started writing novels. To date I have written 8 novels, I am delighted to be contracted with The Book Folks to publish 5 of them. Four of these are part of a cosy crime series which are deliberately light hearted, as I believe everyone needs to escape from reality sometimes. The fifth is a psychological thriller, definitely not cosy, but a challenge I’ve enjoyed.

Feeling abandoned by his parents, with only Magpie the stray cat as company, Quentin appeals to his new neighbour, the alluring but elusive Wanda, for help. But their chaotic amateur sleuthing will draw them into danger.
To get shot of the burglars, Quentin will need to solve a tricky puzzle. And grow a backbone. Is he up to the task?

Despite warnings from DCI Steve Philmore, and with scarce ability to stay out of trouble, Quentin and Wanda decide to investigate.
Yet, faced with a desperate criminal with nothing to lose, will their detective skills be up to the task?
3. The Mystery Down Under – Quentin Cadbury and Wanda Merrydrew have only been private detectives for a short time. Yet after locking horns with London’s criminal underworld, they now have a murderous villain on their tail.
Faced with mortal danger, Quentin decides it is a good time to finally visit his family in Australia and lie low for a while.
But when he hears about a spate of robberies in their Sydney neighbourhood, Quentin cannot resist the opportunity to put his detective skills to the test. And hopefully prove his worth to his ever-disapproving father.
With few clues to go on and the sun bearing down, Quentin and Wanda will struggle like fish out of water. Can they come up trumps and earn some respect?
