Overview: As Ethan works through his trauma after being wounded in battle, he uncovers feelings he never had before, but will he act out on them? Wounded in battle, Ethan is getting treated in an Army hospital. Therapy sessions are part of his treatment – to help with his nightmares and guilt over what happened. He is assigned a new therapist, Max. Max is different, not stiff and formal like his previous therapist. Over a few weeks of treatment Max finds he has feelings for Ethan, since Ethan reminds him of a fellow soldier he loved. As Ethan keeps having nightmares he leans on Max more and the professional boundary blurs. Ethan has always been straight but one night finds himself fantasizing about Max. Soon after, on a night with particularly horrid nightmares, Ethan wakes up and goes to find Max, and stays with him in his room. Ethan experiences his first time enjoying the love of another man. Ethan’s commanding officer does not trust Max and orders a new therapist. Both Ethan and Max lose their spark of joy and it takes the lightbulb thinking of Lenny, Ethan’s roommate, to have him rekindle that spark. And that’s what he does. Now with no professional boundary in the way, Ethan is able to fully explore the wonders of being with Max.
