Owen Campbell doesn’t scare me. Neither do his rippling muscles or intimidating stature. When he’s sent by his boss to investigate a possible break in, I do my best to avoid him and stick to my agenda. I’ve seen the softer side of this gentle giant and won’t be deterred. As the weather worsens, Owen insists we ride the old rickety tram back down the mountain to safety. He really only has himself to blame for what happens next.

In the middle of a snowstorm, out of luck (but thankfully not junk food) Owen and I have to figure out how to survive the freezing night as things go from bad to worse. But as I learn more about the man who continues to take care of me, I find that we have more in common than our forced proximity. It’s getting harder to resist him but how can I adjust my plans only to go back to a life of obscurity?
If only there was a way to keep warm through the long, frigid hours…
